Jeff DuPont, owner/founder of Sound Painting SolutionsJeff DuPont, the owner, is a third-generation painting contractor with over ten years of experience. He began painting with his grandfather at a young age. Jeff also successfully operated his father’s business in Eugene, Oregon, for four years. In 2012, Jeff decided to pursue a new business venture in Seattle with his fiancé, Lindsey Mueller, and Sound Painting Solutions was born.

Jeff and Lindsey had a vision of creating a quality and customer service driven painting company. We strive to execute this vision through every step of the customer process. We do this by providing prompt and attentive service, hiring only qualified, background-checked employees, using premium-quality paint products, and performing thorough preparation and application techniques.

Sound Painting Solutions, LLC is fully licensed, bonded, and insured in the state of Washington. We are also lead-safe certified by the EPA. We provide interior and exterior painting services for both residential and commercial properties in Seattle, Bellevue, and the East Side.

Generally, no. While we may be able to provide a very rough “ballpark” estimate, there are many different factors that influence our bids, and we are unable to provide a fixed price without seeing the job in person. No two jobs are alike, and other than the overall surface area, we also consider the condition of the surfaces, extent of prep work needed, desired colors, access to the work area, etc.

If we are able to access the areas you would like painted without your presence, it is not completely necessary for you to be there. However, we much prefer that you are, so that we can ask you questions and get a thorough understanding of your needs. This allows us to create a proposal that encompasses exactly what you would like to have done!
Sound Painting Solutions is a company dedicated to the highest level of workmanship and customer service available in the industry, and as such, our prices tend to be on the higher side. We strive to provide our clients with a paint job that not only looks great, but will stand the test of time. We do this by using premium-quality products and thorough prep/application techniques. We have also made it our mission to provide constant, open lines of communication and friendly, attentive customer service. In addition, all of our painting staff are legal employees of our company, paid fair wages, and covered by workers’ compensation insurance (you may check a contractor’s insurance status at lni.wa.gov). While there may always be variations in bids from different contractors, bids that are significantly low likely fall quite short of these standards.
Painting companies can range greatly in terms of the quality of workmanship and customer service provided. When comparing estimates, the bottom line is not always the most important factor. Other things you might want to consider include:

  • Per state requirements, is the company bonded, insured, and licensed to perform the work?
  • How much preparation will the contractor perform on the surfaces?
  • What kind of products will they use?
  • How will they compensate their employees?
  • Do they offer a warranty/guarantee on their work?
  • How has the customer service been thus far?

Generally, no. Sound Painting Solutions offers fixed-price bids, therefore price increases only occur when you ask for us to perform additional work that is not covered in the original contract. Unforeseen circumstances do arise once in a while, such as damage to the surface(s) that was not apparent at the initial site visit, or the addition of bold colors that require additional coats/labor. In any case, we strive to keep you updated on the status of your job and you will be informed in the event that unforeseen circumstances arise. We also do not perform additional work not covered in the contract without your approval.
Our estimates cover all necessary materials and labor to complete the job to your specifications, unless explicitly stated otherwise. This includes all of the thorough preparation we perform on your surfaces for the best-looking and longest-lasting paint job possible. In addition, our estimates include a 2-year warranty should your paint job fail within the warranty period.
After we submit a bid for your project, if you decide to accept our proposal, we will coordinate scheduling with you and prepare a contract, which outlines all of the terms and solidifies the scope of work we will perform. Throughout the job, we keep you in the loop on our progress and are always receptive to any questions you may have. Finally, when the work is complete, we conduct a final walkthrough with you to confirm that the work is satisfactory. If any touch-ups are needed, we remedy these areas as quickly as possible. After the inspection and any necessary touch-ups, we collect final payment.
We strive to provide the highest level of quality in our work. If you are not satisfied, our job is not truly complete. We are happy to return to the worksite to ensure we have provided the level of quality we strive for and promise. In the event of a problem that cannot be remedied, talk with us and we’ll see what we can do, whether it be a discount, refund, etc. For your peace of mind, Sound Painting Solutions offers a two-year warranty on all standard interior and exterior projects. Should any issues arise related to the workmanship of the job in the future, we promptly fix it – free of charge!
While most of our business are residential customers, we also perform small to medium-sized commercial projects! This includes both interior and exterior commercial painting jobs. All painters on your job are screened and trusted employees of Sound Painting Solutions. To fulfill our mission of providing consistently high-quality workmanship, we will not subcontract any outside firms to complete your project.

We do not have an in-house color consultant at this time. However, we are happy to provide references for trusted design professionals in the Seattle area who may be of assistance with color selection and other design projects.
We accept cash and checks, as well as all major credit cards. There is a 2% fee applied to any credit card payments. We also offer a safe, secure, and free ACH payment method via Intuit Payments.
