Community Involvement

Our Commitment

Since the founding of Sound Painting Solutions, we have been committed to giving back to the greater Seattle community. We truly believe that when we put our time, services, and money back into the community, we will see real change and growth! We created this page to feature past, current, and future community involvement projects.

SPRING - 2018

Whisker City Shed

We had the opportunity to paint the exterior of the Whisker City Shed in the spring of 2018. This shed was dedicated to a cat named Quixote. Whisker City is located in Shoreline, WA. It is a local shelter, rescue, and rehabilitation for cats. They are "dedicated to protecting the lives and interests of unwanted cats, and are committed to rescuing and rehabilitating abused, neglected and abandoned felines." We were grateful for the opportunity to help this organization, not once but TWICE! In 2019, we returned to paint their shelter's interior!

FALL - 2019

Local Youth Soccer Team

We also encourage our employees to bring our attention to volunteer or sponsorship opportunities in their communities! Our Resource Coordinator, Katrina, asked SPS to sponsor her daughter's youth soccer team in the fall of 2019! We loved designing the jerseys for the team and even stopped by to cheer them on at a few games! We look forward to more community involvement activities like this one!

8th WSJ Harvest Festival

During 2019, the West Seattle Junction hosted their 8th annual Harvest Festival! The community gathered in their spookiest Halloween costumes for a parade on the Junction and visited a market where local merchants, including SPS, had booths with sweet treats and games! With the help of Patrick Robinson and WestsideSeattle, we sponsored a booth with putting green! This was a great activity and event for West Seattle residents of all ages!

WINTER - 2019

Hometown Holidays 2019

During the 2019 Holiday season, we sponsored a local artist’s, Tara Nelson, booth at the Hometown Holidays annual market and tree lighting ceremony. Tara Nelson’s booth was filled with her amazing work to share with the community! Tara's work raises money for Syrian Refugees, which she puts out collections for every few months! Tara is a dear friend, and it was rewarding to help her promote her work.

SUMMER - 2020

Remodel for Reason

In July, Paint Track Painting Services, the creators of the Remodel for Reason project, nominated us to participate. The project’s mission is to give back to COVID-19 healthcare professionals and frontline workers by offering complimentary painting services as a token of our appreciation. We asked our community to nominate local frontline workers for this project. Our winner, Sam Schulte, works for Neighbor Care Health, a local non-profit organization. To read more about Sam, check out the link below!

FALL - 2020

Log House Museum

The Southwest Seattle Historical Society promotes "local heritage through education, preservation, and advocacy." At the Log House Museum, they host a rotating array of exhibits that teach about "the Duwamish Peninsula’s rich history." While wrapping up our exterior season, we had the opportunity to donate our time and services to aid in their 2020 maintenance project for the museum. We loved working with this wonderful organization!

9th WSJ Harvest Festival

For Halloween 2020, the West Seattle Junction hosted their annual Harvest Fest, bringing COVID-friendly fun to the community. While Harvest Fest looked different in 2020, the West Seattle Junction delivered on their promise for ten days filled with harvest-y fun! There was a scavenger hunt on the Junction, a virtual concert and trivia night, a pumpkin walk, and a hot cocoa and cider trail! We had the opportunity to donate SPS swag that was placed into the event's treat boxes!

Hometown Holidays 2020

We always jump at the chance to spread holiday cheer with the West Seattle Junction’s Hometown Holidays. The 2020 Hometown Holidays consisted of over a month of holiday-themed and COVID-friendly events! From a holiday playlist to Small Business Saturday to virtual stories with Santa to the annual farmers market, West Seattle residents had a jolly holiday season. We had the opportunity to donate SPS and holiday-themed packs of M&Ms for their treat boxes! Always a sweet experience working with West Seattle Junction!

10th WSJ Harvest Festival

Our company was a sponsor at this year’s Trick or Treat event during Harvest Fest in West Seattle. We had a fun time interacting with the community on Halloween. The kids loved our Sales Rep’s costume and the mini pumpkins we gave out! We enjoyed being a part of this great event put on by the West Seattle Junction.

Mascot Drawing Contest

We ran a mascot drawing contest with Washington Middle School in Seattle. Our company donated $700 to the school's art program and gave the winning student a $300 Amazon gift card! We were very impressed with all the art students hard work, and had a great time looking at their designs. We chose Ralph The Roller as the winner!

Summer - 2022

West Seattle Summer Fest

After a two-year hiatus, the Summer Fest event presented by the West Seattle Junction was back! We were glad to be a sponsor for this event and be a part of the community. The beer garden, bands, and vendors made this event a blast!
