Sound Painting Solutions recently completed an exterior paint job on a large home in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. It was time to tackle the old, peeling paint job that presented an obstacle to the homeowners’ desire to make their federal-style home look new again.
Detailed and thorough prep work by our crew helped prepare the surface for layers of new paint. We started by pressure washing the house to eliminate mold and mildew, and to make sure the surface was clean prior to painting. Any peeling paint was thoroughly scraped away, peel bond was applied, and these areas were primed to prepare for the new coats of paint. We also caulked and filled any existing holes and seams on the house. After fully masking the windows and covering nearby shrubbery, two coats of Benjamin Moore Aura paint were applied on the main body and trim of the house. With attention to detail and an open line of communication, we were able to fulfill our clients’ wishes of preserving the original detail work on their home.
