Recent Capitol Hill Project

In Exterior Painting, Recent Work by Jeff DupontLeave a Comment

A before and after of a large craftsman house painted by Sound Painting Solutions in Capitol Hill. The house was originally light yellow with white trim and was repainted to dark gray with white trim.

Sound Painting Solutions, a renowned painting contractor, recently accomplished a comprehensive exterior painting project. This was a spacious residence nestled in the charming Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. The project addressed the deteriorating state of the existing paint, which had lost its aesthetic appeal. It also posed a hindrance to the homeowners’ aspirations of rejuvenating their federal-style abode. The successful completion of this painting project stands as a testament to our commitment to transforming homes.

Detailed and thorough prep work by our crew helped prepare the surface for layers of new paint. We started by pressure washing the house to eliminate mold and mildew. This was to make sure the surface was clean prior to painting.  Any peeling paint was thoroughly scraped away. After that, peel bond was applied, and these areas were primed to prepare for the new coats of paint. We also caulked and filled any existing holes and seams on the house.

After fully masking the windows and covering nearby shrubbery, two coats of Benjamin Moore Aura paint were applied on the main body and trim of the house.  (Read more about Aura Paint and Color-Lock Technology).  Light trim against a dark body color enhanced curb appeal and created new, eye-catching contrast. With attention to detail and an open line of communication, we were able to fulfill our clients’ wishes of preserving the original detail work on their home.
