Painting Accent Walls

Recent Job in Belltown

We recently completed a condo painting project in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, involving painting the walls, trim, and accents.  From this project, we documented a great example of a concept we stressed in one of our recent blogs; place accent walls in interesting places, particularly areas that you’d like to highlight or where you’d like the focus of a room to be.

Why is this wall accented, anyway?  Don’t be arbitrary with your paint.  Some of the right places for an accent wall include a fireplace wall, the wall that anchors your bed, an interesting nook, or a bookcase wall. ~Kristie Barnett, The Decorologist

Here’s our latest version of the Accent Wall.
Paint: Benjamin Moore Regal Select Interior Paint
Color: #105, Eggshell sheen

The red accent complements the fireplace tile and white trim beautifully. This dark red color also flows well with the neutral beige color of the walls while adding interest.  Our client was very happy with the results!
