Queen Anne Exterior Stain Job

In Exterior Painting, Recent Work by Matthew1 Comment

Sound Painting Solutions recently completed painting the exterior of a house in the Queen Anne residential neighborhood of Seattle. This was a big project as the home is multiple stories and 3,200 sq. ft. The clients were looking to refresh the look of their home with a new paint job using a semi-transparent stain product, as the existing siding color was fading.

Our painters performed preparation work on this home to ensure the surfaces were ready for new layers of paint. We first pressure washed the exterior to clean the surfaces of mold, dirt, or mildew. Any existing holes and seams on the house were caulked to lock out moisture and prevent rot. It was also important to mask off any areas of the home that are were not being painted, like the window panes. After the prep was complete, our crew began painting.

Our client chose multiple colors for this project. The siding color was a custom stain match from Sherwin Williams in their Woodscapes semi-transparent product. The trim color is called Antique White by Sherwin Williams. We did a small amount of carpentry work on this house, which included replacing the top caps on the master bedroom balcony. The painting took nine working days to complete. Below are some photos of the finished product along with a video showcasing the project.
